"So far the chickens have not taken to it and I do not like the fact that I am unsure of the temperature. I even purchased the temperature control but I would not put just hatched chickens under it. We are currently still using a lamp in a box and they have the option of walking into the larger cage with the heat plate but they do not go under it, just use it for a jungle jim. I also purchased a water dripper which looked like it attached to the plate but have been unable to work out how it actually attaches."
