Great incubator

"I love the brotto brand incubators. Found they still work great in Australia's climate that has high humidity when i lived in darwin NT and still works great in qld even through winter. Also like the fact you dont need seperate egg trays to change from chicken to quail, they are already built into the save trays."

**Disappointing Performance**

"I purchased two of the Borotto Lumia 56 with the intention of replacing our existing incubators and expanding our setup. To give it a fair comparison, we ran it in parallel with a couple of our other incubators (several different brands) using eggs from the same breeding program and under the same hatching conditions. Unfortunately, the Borotto Lumia 56 produced the lowest hatch rate of all the incubators we tested by far. Given its price point, this was extremely disappointing. Another major drawback is the noise. It’s noticeably louder than our other incubators, which was unexpected for a machine marketed as a premium product. Based on our experience, the hatch rate simply didn’t justify the cost. We had planned to purchase several more units if it performed well, but after this trial we’ve decided not to continue with the Borotto range. Every hatch can vary, and this review reflects our own experience, but considering the combination of poor hatch performance, excessive noise, and pricing, I can’t recommend the Borotto Lumia 56."

Great Hatch rate

"Good quality incubator, had a great hatch rate from posted eggs in this machine with the added on auto humidifier (highly recommend). Only con is it is noisy, I had it running in a spare room of the house and needed the door closed of a night, other than that I would recommend"

I have had some success

"I have had some success with the two Borotto Lumia 56 incubators I own but won't buy anymore. One bought in 2025 and one in 2024. We have had probablems with both with the power chords stopping connection at incubator at times and the electricity going off. Very disapointed in this for the price of the incubator."
